Dream messages [Return to Forum]

We all dream, but some people remember far more about their dreams than others. Maybe dreams are an indicator of future events; maybe within each dream lies a message; maybe they’re just a means to reduce stress or try out different scenarios to that of when we’re awake.

I just know that some people dream about the future - I’m not sure what i would do if I had to get on a flight and had a bad dream the night before; you’d feel stupid not going, and terrified if you did fly. Whenever there’s a big accident someone always seems to appear who says ‘I was supposed to be there but I had a premonition’. Maybe people make it up for the publicity, but surely some of them have to be genuine….

I dreamt that I had moved to this gorgeous house, very big but maybe needed some work doing on it. My husband was there as well, and everything seemed very happy. The only problem was that other people - two elderly women - separately seemed to be trying to get inside the house and I assume steal things, and one I had to literally drag away.

Invisible Friends won’t normally use the Forum to analyse a dream, but as this is the first dream from the forum… The house represents you, and how you feel about certain aspects, in this case your private life. Basically, everything is fine but deep down you have concerns which relate to these elderly women. They in turn could possibly represent your feelings about yourself and ageing, suggesting a subconcious fear that as you get older your personal happiness will be invaded or ’stolen away’, and that you thus need to do all you can to protect yourself against this. The more memorable the dream the greater your concerns, but such dreams happen to us all, and can easily be set off by something relatively trivial - a casual remark from a friend, or even an advert on television.

Well… maybe; I don’t recall feeling worried about getting old (I’m middle-aged) but I guess it’s possible. From my point of view, I think the jury’s still out on this one (although I haven’t a clue as to what it could mean as I’m certain I didn’t recognise either the house or the old women).

Why do we dream, or is it our imagination working over time. I don’t believe so I have had dreams for many years. Some are problem solving, others are warnings, some are direction dreams. Some are dreams of spirit and family that have past over bringing comfort, help, advice. It is difficult sometimes to work out the meanings but there is usually an answer. You need to take everything into account when working through a dream, what’s been said, people, names, colours. Every detail is important no matter how small. Keep a note book by your bed to write down details even if your have asleep this will trigger the dream message. Sweet dreams to you all.

Hi Curious, Sometimes flying dreams represent the state of our spiritual path, and how we are progressing. I would not expect the plane to crash with every aeroplane dream. There is a different feeling about a premonition dream. You see it unfold but you are not emotionally attatched to the dream. It is not until the dream unfolds in reality that you become aware of the emotions. Some warning dreams can be changed, but with others there is nothing you can do to change the circumstances - if its meant to happen, it will.

  7. Pollyanna

I have had this dream several times and the last time was seven months ago.

I dreamt that I was standing in a street, when I made up my mind to do something. As I took my first step a sea of jelly crystals in a lovely pale blue comes down the street. I tried to stop it by trying to push it back with my arms but was unable to do so and thought to myself oh well can’t stop it and walked off quickly. The same thing happen again but this time it is a soft shade of green, I looked at it and thought to myself, I do not need to put up with this and ran off quickly away from the sea of soft shade of green jelly crystals.

I then dream that I am sitting on a very soft grass green patch of grass in a wood. I was sitting on the grass with my legs crossed and my hands resting in my laps. I was looking up through the trees to a lovely blue sunny sky but it was raining purple crystals on me and I was sitting there enjoying it.

It is strange as I will be moving into my new home soon which is a bungalow but the bungalow is next to the same woods that was in my dream. I have never been in that woods and yet I know that it is the same wood that is in my dream. I have asked other dream interpreters of the internet and they have not got in touch with me since.

What do you think of this dream?

I have been trying to get this dream interpreted for a few months and no one got in touch with me. I seen this site and thought I would try and within a few hours I got a reply. thanks

Elizabeth’s response to Pollyanna was: The coloured jelly crystals represent spirits sending you healing, but you’re rejecting it for some reason. The wood and purple both again represent spirit healing… And as it’s where you are moving to, it’s possible that this means the new environment will be good for you on a spiritual level, as long as you open your mind to it rather than continuing to reject it.

My mom had a dream they had to evacuate from theur house as there was a fire that was threatning to burn the house down. One week later her husband got offered a job in the UK, does that have anything to do with their dream?

Dreams are fascinating. They are outlets, evidences of subconscious problem-solving, acting on information from a subconscious dominated state, then awakening to a conscious dominated state, only to have them dissipate from our conscious minds. Scientists have proven that everyone dreams between five to seven dreams every night - No Exceptions. So, how do some who have a hard time with remembering, and really desire to, change their plight? By manipulating the subconscious from a semi-conscious state. I just posted an article on my blog that deals with this very subject. Anyone interested in more is indeed welcome to read it. I also have included a powerful little technique that enables you to remember these dreams, if that’s your wish. My blog is at www.asknbasked.com

Hi. Last night I had a dream I didn’t like. I dreamt I was in a some sort of familiar place, I think it resembled my mum’s place and I was listening to the radio. There was a program on, where people could phone in and ask a medium or sort of for advice, like tarot readings I think. Then one of my best friends had phoned in and I thought it was great, very exciting, so I rang too but all I can remember being told is that a loved one will die in 2 years and 5 months. I woke up shortly after that and I felt very uneasy… The truth is that about 10 years ago I had a reading done and the guy told me that I was going to have too major breakdowns in life, emotionally hard moments, and that one had already past, but the one to come was worst. He told me not to worry, to enjoy life because that wouldn’t be for many years yet to come. I just cannot forget what he told me, so I keep thinking that I am going to suffer the loss of my partner or my baby at some point in life… maybe that’s why I dreamt it??? My partner and I are to be marry next July and I have dreamt twice about being in the register office where it’s going to be celebrated and being very nervous. I have read that could be a sign of disgrace. I’m so worried. Can anyone help me understand? I’m too worried or is it really a message to be prepared?

    Hi All,
I am a bit distressed with this dream. I remember there was a small animal (like a small fox) laying on a table asleep and a man was cutting slices of flesh from one of it’s legs. Then, I took the knife and I started to do the same. The animal was almost dead as it didn’t put any resistance. There was still skin (hair) on his leg and I had to hold it with one had in order to cut its flesh. The leg was bleeding.
I have read a lot of possible meanings, but none of them seen to refer to this case exactly. All they say is “if you dream of raw meat then…”. I am not sure if this dream can be catalogued as only raw meat. Thanks a lot in advance for your comments. I am a bit worried about it as I don’t seem to find anything positive about this.
